River Regatta 11/1106

i seriously don't know where to start off.

• gathered early in the morning to visit the temple.
• took mrt and reached destination.
• briefing and mix team race.
• race over, saw disappointed faces.

this is when i began feeling dampen. seeing my fellow team mates work so much for the past few months and things don't turn out the way they wanted.

• lost of words.
• saw michelle and carys.
• warm up and another small briefing.
• race starts.
• race ends.

i thought we did ..okay.. but we got 3rd. lost by split second. i finally understand why coach and seniors say that dragonboat is a split second sports.

• moody.
• sucky
• emo-ing

it wasnt so bad when it was our seniors that got 1st in the hits.

• feeling better after talking to fellow team mates
• took some rest.

it was then time for the seniors IVP race.

• cheer them up.
• watch them board the boat.
• rains.
• waited.
• waited.
• waited.
• race started.

what we saw and what turned out doesn't tally. seeing them when the 'sian' look once again really demoralise me. are we really that bad? nope. we are strong. just that lady luck wasn't smiling at us despite all the shiny foreheads and holy blessings.
