yup, after 83 years, im finally back in Singapore. big surprise and thanks for mh and bh for they actually came in the middle of the night to pick me up. the first thing i heard from them is, ni pang le. zzzz. anyway childhood friend wenan and weihao were there too.

mh and bh came to my place afterwards, they updated me abt what happened in singapore when i was gone. so many things happened when i was gone, and the internship feels like a dream. time flies.

1. stop procrastinating, start doing.

2. don't complain about how many things you had done, as compared to your team members, others will know your effort.

5. when u are given a dateline, complete it by then, its your job.

im quite upset by the fact that things have to be done so last minute. i dont mind helping out in a school event during school time. but i just dont get why a small fry like me in the team have to make my way down to beach road to get such a important thing bought. its suppose to be a school event and things are not ready yet. instructions were not given and nothing was confirmed.
i want to study for my term test, i dont find it fair to me that i have to even go down for the extra trainings when i not even going down for the extra race. seriously no offence to others. but please think in my shoes. however i will still try to make myself useful for the team.

Singapore River Regatta 3-4th November 07'

its 12.50 in the afternoon, and i decided to skip my lectures since i am already late and some of my classmates aint going anyway. regatta was a great experience. up and downs. people train for months just for that 1 minute odd moment in your life. we won by 0.01 sec in the semi finals to get into grand finals. what i can say that is we were lucky. things wont be as lucky next time round as others will train even harder for that 0.01 sec. train hard!

i came across this story on the net, i thought it was meaningful so i decided to share with you guys.

A young lady was waiting for her flight in the boarding room of a big airport. As she would need to wait many hours, she decided to buy a book to spend her time. She also bought a packet of cookies. She sat down in an armchair, in the VIP room, to rest and read in peace. Beside the armchair where the packet of cookies lay, a man sat down in the next seat, opened his magazine and started reading. When she took out the first cookie, the man took one also. She felt irritated but said nothing. She thought: "what a nerve! if i was in the mood i would punch him for daring." For each cookie she took, the man took one too. This was infuriating her but she didn't want to cause a scene. when only one cookie remained, she thought: "ah... what this abusive man do now?" Then the man take the last cookie divide it into half, giving her one half. She was much too angry now! In a huff, she took her book, her things and stormed to the boarding place.
When she set down in her seat inside the plane, she looked into her purse to take her eyeglasses, her packet of cookies was there, untouched, unopened. She felt so ashamed!! She realized that she was wrong. She had forgotten that her cookies were kept in her purse. The man had divided his cookies with her, without feeling angered or bitter, while she had been very angry, thinking that she was dividing her cookies with him. And now there was no chance to explain herself, nor to apologize.

i didnt turn up for training today.
last night i received a call from my best friend. on the phone, he sounded very unstable and was crying. thats probably one of the first time i saw him crying. he told me that his dad is in serious condition. i decided to go down with bert to accompany him.
meanwhile xianglin asked if i wanted to go swimming tml, i told him the situation. he advised me to give other reasons to skip training. i didnt see the point. i will lose my credibility if i lie. i dont care man. what others think of me.
so i stayed up till today morning and together with my friend, we went home together. when i woke up, its already 1 plus pm in the afternoon. idled for awhile till later evening.
received called from bert again that our friend's father condition worsen. we went down again. on our journey to the hospital, bert received a call from our friend. his dad passed away. suddenly we feel so .... i couldnt find any word to describe the feeling.
it reminded me of my uncle when i was young. i remember it was in the morning when i was about to leave for school, my mum told me that my uncle who doted me so much had pass away.
when we arrived in the hospital. our friend's eyes were red and puffy. he didnt sleep for 2 days. havent really eaten much food. he kept telling us things about his father. i realised that at that moment, i am helpless, i couldnt help him to relief his pain. seeing everyone there tearing made me super emotional.
i didnt speak any words throughout the journey back home.

MALAYSIA TRIP

okay i went to malaysia on friday and i just got home (21/7/2007, 11.13pm).
friday:
we went down to kranji mrt station to meet alex so take bus down to malaysia to-gether. it was super convinient and easy! then we took a cab down to alex house. super nice and big! the security down there is TIP TOP! that place is for rich people man! we put down our barang barangs then go down to his dad's office. there was this very nice lady, wen hui which is alex's dad's secretary attended to us. she filled us with a lot of informations which we needed to know. we work till around 7+ then went off. we were all hungry and tired la. alex drove us around. his driving was erm er hmmm, sensitive topic. thank god i am back in sg safetly. so he brought us back to change to casual clothings, then we went to eat our dinner. we had SUPER NICE AND GOOD food there lar! alex was the boss! he pay for all our meals. after dinner, we went shopping. the things there is super suPER SUPER cheap! waha. bought pants, shirts.... blablabla. then alex bring us to eat their ramly burger and the famous 'lok lok satay' super unhygenic. okay lah. long long 1 time wont die. and their ramly burger is OWNING, the singapore 1 is NOTHING man. NOTHING COMPARED TO THEIR RAMLY BURGER! haha then we went to see baboks. some look very pretty! the rest is horrigible hahaha. we went back to his house afterwards. bathed, watched 'Step Up' movie and gambled. poor wenbin lost his money! oooops
saturday:
we woke up around 11+ 12+. then alex drive us out for breakfast-lunch. we had beef noodles. OWNING man. i never had beef noodles that good in singapore. haha after our brunch, we went to jalan jalan. there was this super giantic shopping centre like vivo city in sg. we shopped abit, then time for dinner!

throughout these 2 days, alex payed for all our meals. drive us around. he was the BEST host man! the trip wont be FUN without him!
we also saw their istana. it was super big la, like as if they were wasting their land. ;x we super had alot of funs la, like whenever we saw singapore cars there, we will like, 'ehh alex go scare them!' then he would drive super near to them or either honk at them. haha oops. wen bin would be there shouting ,'HEY SINGAPORE CAR!' outside the window.

PS: alex's dog eat everything, anything! her favourite food is durian. got food = her best friend.

that day i was outside, then wing called me, so i went to meet him. unable to catch the movie, we went for dinner instead. after that we went to ben&jerry's to find sam. sam then realised that i was with them (2 batch before me). i was 'hoon-ing' with the wrong batch! haha where are my squadmates?

then the following days, i went to play mahjong, WAH MAHJONG MARATHON! at night we went to chomps for dinner, then was at 7-11, i saw this pocky. FOR MEN ( i wasnt being chauvinistic)

then yesterday i went school, i lend my soap to this idiot for washing his hair when he reaslised that he didnt have towel to dry his hair after washing.

then i went to meet ZC and ham, then played arm wrestling ith ham. my arm grew big. O_O

im sorry that i havent been in school for days. i will change that bad habbit.
im sorry for not doing my part of project. at least i finished it up as soon as possible.

today is a super fun and anticipated day. since dunno ages ago, we planned this day. Maris Stella High School NPCC Squad ( which ever is my year ) outing. most of us met 7.30 at marina bay mrt station. while some others still at home or at amk. (they are late of cause) . haha nvm, so we went down to marina south for steam boat.
i havent seen them for like aeon. everyone of us is doing fine. we crapped alot. ziming bought beer. he drank only like 1 can then he high already. we played what zong ji mi ma. then lose eat what raw egg+butter those nonsense. wah heng i nv tio. then ziming came up with what "kuahwapengyoubang.com" really laugh the hell out of all of us!
Anyway, Mr. Shy boy Rong Qing had found himself a girlfriend. i am really happy for him! really! remember in that past, he is those type that see girl then lost of words. way to go man!
i am happy for all my squadmates, my brothers, for their success in studies and in life! lets catch up again soon!

i woke up today with a bad knee. was actually limping all the way during school hours. i was looking forward to the freshie training. what i can say is, press on! you will taste the fruit of your labour soon. ;) anyway, i see myself in them. actually worse than them. seeing the freshies make me wanna improve myself further more. so watch me! most of the freshies were very polite and well mannered and i really appreciate that. some were horrible.

today is sunday. i woke up, my mom wasnt at home, so i sent her a sms happy mothers' day and wishing her stay young and pretty always. then leave for kallang. i arrived at kallang at 11.45+ am and realised that i reached too early. smart me! so i played my handphone game till when others arrived. after training, went to eat with irvin and gang. lol. talk lots of nonsense.
i returned home, then presented mom the tonic that me and my sis bought for her. ;) shes happy.
we may not be the best children in the world, but shes the best mom we can have.
